How to boost immunity

Nowadays, it seems that not only Korea but the whole world is interested in improving immunity.

Immunity is the ability to protect the body from getting sick by responding to harmful substances (such as fine dust, exhaust gas, and contaminated beverages), various bacteria, and temperature changes that are generated from the outside and adversely affect health.

Naturally, if the immune system is weakened, this ability to cope is reduced, so it is easy to get various diseases such as inflammatory diseases like stomatitis, herpes, cold, pneumonia, stomach upset, diarrhea, varicella zoster caused by the chickenpox virus, etc., and overall physical health deteriorates.

Below are things to increase the immunity that protects our body.

First, while reducing habits that are harmful to the body such as alcohol and tobacco, you need to eat good foods that strengthen immunity, such as garlic, ginger, onion, mushrooms, broccoli, and  blue-backed fish, and even help with anti-inflammatory and cancer-fighting.

In fact, the most basic and most difficult thing to keep is food intake. Avoiding harmful things and eating good food is the basis of good health. It will not be easy to change the lifestyle and favorite foods you have adopted so far, but I think it is something that must be put into practice with a strong will.

Second, you need to choose a good exercise that is appropriate and suitable for you and make it a habit to exercise consistently without being too excessive.

Many people do not like to exercise hard while sweating, but exercise is a must along with food control to increase immunity.

There is a saying that a 1 degree increase in body temperature improves metabolism, increases activity 5 times, and increases immunity.

More than 40% of body temperature is generated in the muscles, and as muscle mass increases, the BMR (basal metabolic rate) required to maintain the body increases. This means that exercise is an absolute factor in boosting immunity.

Considering your gender, age, and physical condition, you should make a habit of exercising regularly, even a little every day, by choosing an appropriate exercise that is not unreasonable. In particular, as you get older, you should not neglect to exercise to maintain and strengthen the muscles of the lower back and lower body.

Third, you need to get rid of fatigue and lethargy through regular and sufficient sleep.

As there is a saying that sleep is the medicine, if you do not get enough sleep, you will naturally become tired, weak, lethargic, unable to use your strength, and become cumbersome in everything, making it difficult to lead an active life.

Therefore, it can be said that the habit of getting enough sleep regularly at a set time is an important factor in maintaining or improving immunity.

Fourth, we need to relieve stress, which is the root of all diseases, but it is not as easy as it sounds.

Since each person's environment and life are very different, it is important to find your own way to relieve stress and practice it to relieve stress according to this method.

Through meditation, light exercise, taking a walk, reading, traveling, etc., you should find your own way to relieve stress in consideration of your current life and situation, and make an effort to relieve stress.

It is important to practice a lifestyle that releases stress without forgetting that the stress that builds up unknowingly is tormenting and destroying every corner of the body.

There are some things that are not easy to implement, but these are the most basic and essential things to increase immunity for a healthy life.
