How to overcome diabetes

treatment tools and gadgets for those with diabetes

Rather than the disease itself, diabetes should be avoided in that it causes fatal complications everywhere in the body, such as cerebral infarction, diabetic retinopathy, heart failure, kidney disease, and foot necrosis. However, even after diabetes occurs, if it is managed well, it can prevent various complications and lead a life that does not interfere with daily life, so it is considered a symptom rather than a disease.

The sugar ingested from food is used throughout the body by the action of insulin, and the excess is stored in the liver and muscles in the form of glycogen.

The liver has limited space to store glycogen, and when the storage is full, it converts sugar into fat to form fatty liver.

And, the extra glucose is made into fat, which leads to the formation of visceral fat and subcutaneous fat, which in the end can lead to high blood pressure, hyperlipidemia, and diabetes.

Visceral fat and blood sugar decrease the function of insulin, resulting in insulin resistance in which blood sugar is not transmitted well to cells.

However, if you have a lot of muscle, the ingested sugar is stored in the form of glycogen in the muscle and used in the form of glucose when you exert force, which lowers the concentration of glucose in the blood and burns unnecessary visceral fat.

In other words, muscles that consume active energy do not allow excess sugar in the blood, and triglycerides and cholesterol do not accumulate in the organs.

Simply put, regardless of gender or age, if you eat a lot of fatty, high-calorie foods and even have little muscle mass, you are more likely to get diabetes.

Therefore, in order to prevent, manage, and treat diabetes, in addition to diet control, weight loss through aerobic exercise such as walking and light running to burn fat can lower insulin resistance and increase muscle mass essential to store and consume blood sugar to create the optimal body condition needed to overcome diabetes.

There are about 650 muscles in the human body, and 70% of them are located in the lower back and lower body.

Therefore, it is important to strengthen the muscles of the lower back and lower body for the prevention and treatment of diabetes. However, you can't exercise until you put a lot of strain on your joints and body.

So, I recommend using your own body weight to bend or hold, rather than going on a steep hike or doing exercises that impact your knees or doing excessive weight training in order to increase your muscle strength. This type of exercise can help prevent symptoms and complications caused by diabetes without straining the joints.

For example, just by bending the knee and taking a position that maintains it using one's own weight, it is possible to strengthen the muscles of the lower back and lower body without impacting the joints including the knee.

And, if you feel that it's difficult or overworked, you can release the position and stop the exercise immediately, so it can be said that it is an exercise method with less risk of injury or impact.

If you exercise regularly and control your diet with such an exercise method, you will be able to overcome diabetes.
